Lauren obtained her Masters of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. While at UBC, she enjoyed working in research to assess the impact of exercise and movement on various clinical populations. Lauren includes an evidence based approach to treating orthopaedic injuries through a combination of manual therapy, exercise prescription and education. She values working collaboratively with her clients to ensure they reach their goals and get back to doing what they love.

Born and raised in Toronto, Lauren is a reluctant Maple Leafs fan who grew up immersing herself in a wide variety of sports. She is a former competitive figure skater, but also enjoyed participating in Track and Field, Soccer and Volleyball. After moving to Vancouver to pursue her undergraduate degree, Lauren turned to road biking, and hiking to explore BC. Sarah has a Masters Degree of Physical Therapy and a Bachelors Degree of Kinesiology, both from the University of British Columbia. In addition to her post graduate studies, Sarah has spent time working as a Strength and Conditioning coach for a variety of athletes, as well as a Personal Trainer. She grew up playing competitive soccer, while also participating in many sports including cross country running, basketball and volleyball. She combines her passion for exercise and interest in rehabilitation in her work as a Physiotherapist. Sarah enjoys utilizing a patient-centered and evidence informed approach to assist people through their rehab journey. Her practice encompasses manual therapy, education, and individualized exercise prescription with the goal of getting her patients back to doing what they love.

Matthew obtained his Masters of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. He has worked with athletes who have played in the CFL, NLL, UBC Hockey and also climbers who have competed in World Cups and send V10+ outdoors.

As a physiotherapist with a passion for both movement and adventure, Matthew specializes in helping those with lower extremity injuries and individuals with shoulder and hand injuries. Matthew helps them achieve their best performance and return to their activities with confidence. With a deep understanding of the unique demands placed on the body by life and sports Matthew provides personalized care to address injuries, enhance rehabilitation, and optimize performance. Matthew see’s injuries of all kinds but has a keen interest in climbing related injuries, achilles ruptures and ACL injuries.

Matthew has been through his own fair share of injuries such as an achilles tendon rupture which has helped him see from the patient point of view how important it is they have an active role in their rehab and goal setting. A session with Matthew involves hands-on techniques, tailored exercise programs, and education to empower clients in their recovery journey.

Marie graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia, after completing her Bachelor Degree in Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia Okanagan.

Marie has been active in sports throughout her life as an athlete, coach, and athletic trainer. She is passionate about helping clients improve their quality of life and get back to the activities they enjoy through taking an active role in their rehabilitation. She enjoys treating clients of all ages and activity levels, through utilizing education, hands-on manual therapy techniques, and exercise.

Harrison completed his Master’s of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia. Prior to this, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in his hometown at the University of Victoria. Harrison has worked in a variety of clinical environments and communities across BC from VGH Emergency Department to rural practice in Haida Gwaii. Outside the clinic he also works with a variety of sports teams including the WLA Salmonbellies. Before starting his physiotherapy career, he worked as a kinesiologist and a strength and conditioning coach with varsity and Canadian U20 athletes.

Harrison uses an evidence-based approach comprised of manual therapy and individualized exercise prescription, in which his patients are an active participant in their care. Patient education is an integral part of his treatments ensuring patients understand the causes, expected healing timelines and outcomes. Part of his care involves helping prevent future injuries from occurring while fostering healthy relationships with exercise and movement that can be adapted long-term.

Derek completed his Bachelors of Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia before going on to complete his Masters of Physical Therapy (MPT) in 2013. His involvement at UBC has continued as a Clinical Skills Assistant, helping instruct in the MPT program. Derek has since gone on to complete advanced training in orthopaedic assessment and treatment techniques, becoming a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) in 2017.

Derek’s treatment approach includes a blend of manual therapy, IMS/Dry Needling, and individualized exercises to help his clients achieve their goals – whether that be returning to sport, or simply returning to day to day activities. Derek works one on one with his clients and believes that they should not only understand their injury, but also play an active role in creating their rehabilitation plan.

Throughout his career Derek has experience treating musculoskeletal conditions from head to toe, but has a keen interest in lower extremity injuries.

Anthony grew up in Georgetown, Ontario where he spent the majority of his time playing a variety of organized team sports. As a result, Anthony combined his love for sports and passion for helping others to pursue a career in physiotherapy. Anthony graduated with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from Queen’s University in 2019, following an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from Western University in 2017. During his time at Western, Anthony was selected to be the student athletic trainer for the men’s varsity basketball team. Through this experience, he developed a passion for orthopaedic and concussion rehabilitation, and has continued to advance his learning in this area of practice through enrolment in a number of post-graduate courses. Anthony’s evidence-informed treatment style consists of combining manual therapy, education, and most importantly, exercise prescription. He makes certain to take a holistic approach through examining the entire person and building a strong therapeutic alliance, in order to help all clients achieve their functional goals.

Jared’s physiotherapy philosophy is that exercise is medicine. After being a kinesiologist in the Kitsilano area for several years prior to physiotherapy school, he has a thorough understanding of exercise prescription. Because of this, he is able to translate his understanding of the benefits of exercise to each client safely and effectively. Jared is also a recent graduate of a Masters in Exercise Science degree from the University of Guelph, in Ontario. Having been published 6 times, and competed in several research conferences, he has been honoured to win several awards for outstanding research in Canada.

Jared has also completed a Kinesiology program where he minored in nutrition. As result, he is privileged with the ability to review and synthesize current research into my practice. Throughout University, Jared was a member of the Men’s Varsity Rugby Team at the University of Guelph. During this time, he gained an appreciation for proper conditioning, nutrition and injury-prevention. Caroline was born and raised in Victoria, BC. Throughout her childhood and adolescence she developed a love for movement and physical activity through dance, field hockey, and soccer. Her passion for human physiology, collaboration, and helping others has led her to a career in physiotherapy.

Caroline believes that individualized, client-centered care is the foundation of quality physiotherapy treatment.  Her physiotherapy approach involves a combination of manual therapy, exercise, movement analysis, and education. Caroline loves working with a diverse clientele: from teens to older adults, and from recreational to elite athletes.

Alex was born and raised in Vancouver BC, receiving his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at the University of Victoria, and his Masters of Physical Therapy at UBC. Growing up, Alex took an immediate interest in sports and athletics. His sports background includes competitive levels of hockey, basketball, soccer, rugby, tennis, and volleyball. This background in athletics allows Alex to treat patients specific to the sport and develop strategies closely related to each client’s individual goals.

Growing up in Kitsilano, Alex has a passion for living a healthy lifestyle, and helping others achieve their healthiest lifestyle as well; this includes managing both physical and mental health.
